Cross-country beginners can handle this ski because it floats easily and turns well even at lower speeds - but also real freeride pros who are looking for a ski with a medium width for "everything": are well served with the QST 106!
A new carbon reinforced C/FX insert from ski tip to ski tail takes the reinforced construction to the next level and provides more power and edge grip no matter how hard or spurted the terrain. A lightweight poplar solid wood core makes for a powerful but lightweight ski that is also ideal as a variant freerider for typical "freeride tours" due to its relatively light weight.
And grip when the going gets tough: no problem at all, because there is a continuous titanal insert from edge to edge under the binding for maximum power and better edge grip on hard snow. The all-new shape of the QST 106 ensures smoother turn initiation, better floatation and easier edge changes.
It handles all conditions and obstacles and is one of the most versatile skis Salomon has ever made.
It lets you glide through the most beautiful deep snow, make deep grooves in the hard piste and conquer the steepest slopes.

The rocker makes the ski extremely easy to turn and floats easily even at lower speeds.
The camber construction under the binding offers better grip when the snow gets harder - or when you're on the slopes. - Construction: Classic sandwich sidewall construction with full-length sandwich sidewalls.
A plastic layer that closes off the sides of the multi-layer ski construction and gives it stability.
Skis with a sidewall construction are generally more stable at high speed, livelier and more robust. - Core: A lightweight poplar solid wood core makes for a powerful but lightweight ski
- Carbon Powered C/FX: C/FX is a special fibre ply of interwoven carbon and flax that runs the length of the ski. It combines the incredible strength, stability and minimal weight of carbon fibre with the excellent dampening and vibration absorption properties of flax. A Salomon exclusive patent.
- Cork Damplifier: The absorption properties of cork are three times those of Koroyd. By using cork in the ski tip, a high level of vibration absorption and damping is achieved at an even lower weight.
