A new Kästle series - ZX - super easy to ride, playful in the terrain thanks to the rocker and still absolutely suitable for the piste, these robust freeride skis meet all performance demands in the backcountry. They are playful and tough at the same time.

Holger and Janis from the Sport65 team are thrilled with the performance and simultaneous playfulness of the ZX series - the two can confirm it after many days on the ski: Anything goes with it!
The timeless design paired with a super robust surface is a real eye-catcher - as soon as the base touches the snow and you make the first turns: you're off!
The HOLLOWTECH 2.0 technology in the shovel allows the ski to steer in superbly without losing performance, while the low camber under the foot provides enough grip when you're on the edge.
The radius is designed for absolute "multiturn" operation - so the ZX is not only fun in the backcountry (where it belongs!), but also on the piste...
Off-piste? Wow! Thanks to the Progressive Rise shovel, the ski floats super and lets it float playfully through deep snow.

With the Shovel-and-Tail configuration, Kästle refines the tuning of the skis.
The HOOK FREE SHOVEL is a longer shovel that is often combined with an Early or Progressive Rise. This shifts the point of contact with the snow further into the middle of the ski, ensuring forgiving, playful turn-in behaviour.
The HOOK FREE TAIL is often combined with the Dual Rise and has a longer ski tail with the contact point further in the middle of the ski. The result is a forgiving, playful behaviour when steering out of the turn. - Camber: With LOW CAMBER of the ZX series, the ski center is slightly elevated and the contact points are moved toward the ski center.
The effective edge is consequentially less, and the ski is more playful and forgiving. - Woodcore: Poplar-beech - the responsive and super stable wood core for high-end demands!
Each Kästle ski is built with the finest wood core, manufactured with precision to one-tenth of a millimeter. This allows us to control the weight, responsiveness and dampening characteristics of the ski, resulting in a high-quality, durable product. The wood type, or combination of different woods, is individually catered to each model line, based on the ski‘s intended application. We guarantee unique handling with outstanding performance. - Semi Cap-Sandwich Sidewall construction: Kästle has adopted the Sandwich Sidewall construction from alpine racing, it is considered a quality feature for Kästle models. This construction gives every Kästle ski optimum bending and torsional stiffness, brings sensitive, direct handling and ensures full control of the ski even at high speeds.
The ZX series uses the SEMI-CAP SANDWICH SIDEWALL CONSTRUCTION, in which the topsheet protects the top rail. - Elliptical Radius: Each model is designed to have its own carving characteristics, which is based on the ski’s intended application, by adjusting the radius along the waist of the ski. The shape of the Elliptical Radius determines how quickly and aggressively the ski enters and exits a turn.
- Hollowtech: Kästles patented, key technology is unique to ski manufacturing. By removing unneeded layers in the front of the ski we make the ski lighter. This results in several advantages: the ski becomes up to 30 % damper, the ski feels more stable, edge-grip is more powerful, steering is more precise and the overall weight is reduced. At the ZX line all skis are equiped with the larger HOLLOWTECH 2.0 — with the size of each Hollowtech adapted to individual model lines. A larger design for even better performance.
