Elan's flagship Wingman series combines performance with safety. The new PROTECTOR binding system on the FusionX plate gives more performance with maximum safety, as the binding features a true 3D release, with a third Z-value.
The "PROTECTOR" sets new safety standards on the slopes!
Studies show that knee injuries, especially cruciate ligament injuries, account for one third of all skiing injuries. In over 70% of cases, the cause of the accident is a backward spinning fall. The "PROTECTOR" ski binding reduces or mitigates serious, frequent and, above all, serious injuries in the knee or cruciate ligament area, which is the main area affected. This is made possible by the Full Heel Release (FHR) technology developed by TYROLIA, a combination of horizontal and vertical heel release.
The new "PROTECTOR" binding reduces the stress on the knee and ligaments by more than 50%, as scientifically confirmed.

Both GripWalk ready on free flexing Elan Fusion X plate - Construction: Elan’s new Truline Amphibio 4D technology is the latest evolution in modern ski design. The 4D concept has traditionally flat structural layers in the ski strategically shaped in convex and concave forms in the tip and tail of the ski. This shaped structure concept, combined with the Amphibio profile provides unrivalled all mountain versatility, power and performance.
- Amphibio Rocker: The Amphibio profile is a revolutionary ski design that integrates both rocker and camber profiles into dedicated left and right skis. Amphibio skis feature a cambered inside edge assuring precision, edge grip, and stability while a rockered outside edge provides forgiveness, turning ease and smooth transitions.
- Tublite Woodcore: The Tublite woodcore is constructed with tip-to-tail carbon tubes that run the entire length of the ski. These tubes follow the arc of the side cut, and reduce weight without sacrificing performance by increasing torsional stability and delivering powerful rebound.

OR: The Elan EMX 12.0 binding is a free-flexing binding system on the free-gliding Fusion X plate, which perfectly transfers the power and edge pressure to the edges through its wide chassis. More grip under the binding, more edge pressure even when it's hard on the slopes!
Of course, it meets the highest safety standards and can be safely adjusted by machine and conveniently opened and closed while skiing.
This binding can be used with all skiboots with Alpine (ISO 5355) or GripWalk soleblocks.

Due to the long relationship between Sport65 and Matthias Mayr, the master mind of Elan Freeride skis we knew: These ski rocks - the are produced with highest quality standards and perfect constructions. Easy to ski and super versatile in any snow condition!
Especially the new freeski line with the Ripstick series is one of the best skis in the Sport65 range - and so: On the whole market.
Elan's story begins during World War ll, when twelve craftsmen and engineers manufacture several hundred pairs of lighweight, durable wooden skis for Partisan troops. Formally, Elan is established in 1945 by Rudi Fin¸gar, a visionary and an audacious ski jumper, who jumps a world record (95 meters) in 1941.
In the Nineties Elan adds another innovation to its long list and causes a major stir: they introduce shaped carving skis, which are arguably the most important novelty in the contemporary skiing industry.
Decades of revolutions and dedicated R&D work culminates in 2012 when Elan is named the most innovative sports brand by Plus X Award, and again in 2015.
This was an important accolade and a serious commitment for the following decades that today culminates in innovations like Waveflex, Lightskiing and the productions of the lightest women's ski in the world, the revolutionary Amphibio 4D technology and the latest freeride and backcountry weapon - the Ripstick.
