 Productsdescription

Blizzard ZeroG 105 24/25

NEW! Now even more relaxed to ride thanks to the new Carbon Drive 3.0 technology!

Weighing only 1540 grams, the ZeroG 105 is the flagship of the line and, despite its light weight, a ski that can take on any "pure" freerider. Just ask Holger, our boss...
In its new 2023 version, the ski's performance has been completely reworked - thanks to the slightly softer tuning in the shovel, it's much easier to ride than its predecessors - and they were already GENIUS!
It is as light as a conventional touring ski, but with the downhill performance of a true freeride ski.
The ski has been significantly improved compared to its predecessor: it floats more beautifully, the shovel is softer and more harmonious - Holger was immediately 100% convinced of the ski during the first tests.
The ski is made for all touring skiers who value both ease of ascent and uncompromising downhill performance. This is made possible by the Carbon Drive 3.0:
With Carbon Drive 2.0 technology, the Zero G line delivered great stability and safety on the descent right from the start.
Carbon Drive 3.0 tops it all: the skis are now much more playful thanks to a new carbon harness, much more pleasant to ride and are still the lightest skis in the category and with 100% certainty, no matter what others say: the best ski line in the entire industry in terms of weight, performance and riding fun!
The Carbon Drive 3.0 is the technological upgrade from models 22/23 onwards of the now well-known Carbon Drive 2.0 technology:
A full-length 3D-moulded unidirectional carbon fibre chassis combined with an ultra-light Pawlonia wood core (Zero G 85, 95) or ISO/BEECH/POPPLAR core (Zero G 105): This combination guarantees a super-light construction that retains the necessary structure for performance.
It provides optimal torsional stiffness and flex.
The carbon is only placed in the areas where it is really needed.

CARBON DRIVE 2.0 VS CARBON DRIVE 3.0:

  • The new carbon drive has been placed below the fibreglass and carbon layer.
  • Update of the carbon chassis shape to achieve less stiffness in tip and tail, easier turning, faster float up, even at lower speed.

Carbon Drive 3.0 advantages:

  • A more playful ride - even at lower speeds
  • More stability throughout the ski
  • Unmatched edge grip for such a lightweight ski construction
  • Maximum control at any speed, from turn entry to turn exit

By the way: Since Holger has been working for Blizzard for years, we are of course the very first shop worldwide to have the new boards under our feet and can even often "give our two cents" when it comes to designs or tuning of the skis.
And that's exactly why you won't find a shop with such know-how about the ZeroG line:
The ZERO G collection was developed a few years ago to enable high speed on the ascent and on the descent, just the way we love it.
Because you don't have to sacrifice stability on the descent to have a lighter ski for the ascent - and the system works.
Has been impressively proven with the ZERO G line.

icon_info.gif Safety & Durability
In the past most manufacturers have had to remove material in order to achieve weights similar to those found in the ZERO G collection.
Sidewalls, wood cores, and edges are often sacrificed which not only degrades the skis functionality but it can create a safety and durability issue as well.
The unidirectional Carbon Drive frame found in the Zero G skis allows Blizzard to build these lightweight skis with full sidewalls, a wood core, and metal edges from tip to tail.
Screw pull out rates in our Zero G skis are above the ISO standard set for alpine skis and the full sidewalls not only aid in performance on harder snow but also help to prevent catastrophic damage from impact with rocks or stumps.

 Technical Details

Blizzard ZeroG 105 24/25

  • Dimensions: 133-105-119 mm
  • Radius: 23m (180cm)
  • Weight: 1540gr (180cm)
  • Rocker-Camber-Rocker:

  • Construction: Sandwich Compound Partial Sidewall (Carbon), Carbon Drive Technology 3.0 with Carbon Reinforcements
  • CARBON REINFORCEMENTS: The Carbon Drive 3.0 is reinforced by two carbon reinforcements under the binding.
The carbon reinforcements are two edge-to-edge layers of bi-directional carbon fibres placed in the binding attachment areas to provide improved edge grip and power transfer
  • Core & Materials: Isocore, Poplar, Beech

 The Story

Blizzard ZeroG 105 24/25

icon_info.gif Blizzard, Tecnica and Nordica at the Sport65 "Headquarter of Fun"...
When companies in winter sports exist for over 75 years, it is something special!
So special, of course, that they should not be missing from the Sport65 range.
What can you say about these legendary brands? Every skier knows the three labels, almost every ski enthusiast has certainly had a Nordica or Tecnica boot or a Blizzard ski under or on their feet at some point in their life.
And for some years now: These brands are experiencing a comeback that is unparalleled!
Blizzard is currently number 1 on the North American market.
Holger has been working as a representative and team rider for Blizzard and Tecnica for years. He has been involved in the "realignment" of the brands from the very beginning.
Tecnica and Nordica ski boots are hard to beat in terms of fit, quality and performance - especially in the freeride sector with boots with high flex and pin inserts.
Why do you think almost all guides and ski instructors at Sport65 and freerideschule.de like Tecnica or Nordica soles?
The Blizzard and Nordica skis from Mittersill are fantastic in all different areas of use, from race to high performance on-piste to freeride and freetouring - logically they are in great numbers on our famous "Wall of Fame" in the Sport65 shop.
Top products are made exclusively from top materials, which makes these products a little more expensive, but durable and of insane quality.
Pure riding fun is guaranteed.
Of course, you will also find many Nordica and Blizzard skis as well as Tecnica boots in the Sport65 rental & test centre, just come to our shop in Weinheim...

This product is "made in Europe"!
Always a main focus in the Sport65 range!
The Blizzard and Nordica skis are developed, tested and produced in their own factory in Mittersill, almost directly at the lift - as a close partner, we at Sport65 are often involved from the very beginning.
Tecnica and Nordica boots are developed in Giavera, at the foot of the Dolomites, by real skiers - and are also produced there.
All liners: hand-sewn in Italy - quality you can feel!
