The Thunderbird R15 LTD is the multiturn version with a 15m radius - exactly the ideal ski that lies between slalom and giant slalom radius.
In our own tests: the version that convinced us the most (in fact, we liked all models better than any ski before).
Why? An unbelievable smoothness, even when going straight, but still an insanely playful curve behaviour with the grip of a pure racing ski.
Thanks to the wide body waist with 76mm centre width, the ski lies even more smoothly, even if the piste is a bit bumpy in the afternoon or there is fresh snow on the slope.
An ideal ski for high-speed skiing in the morning and casual carving in the afternoon when the legs get a little tired.
Why LTD (Limited Edition)? The limited version of the R15 has the Marker Race XcELL 12 binding on the fully integrated FDT plate - which makes the ski even more direct - also only a few skis of the LTD model are produced - you are not only skiing with the best ski on the mountain, but the probability that you will see this ski again in the gondola: is very low...
Of course, you can also test the ski at our Test Centre before you buy it (as long as we still have it) - because one thing is certain: after the test, they will be sold in no time. Guaranteed!

The Trueblend Woodcore is nothing new, as it has already dominated all tests in the super successful "Allcondition" series with Brahma, Black Pearl and Bonafide and has thrilled skiers of all levels.

Keep-It-Simple: 3 ski models with 3 different radii and thus 3 different on-piste application areas: R13 for slalom or shortturn radii, R15 and R15 Widebody for multiturn radii and the R18 for giant slalom high-speed longturns!

Trueblend On-Piste Woodcore: What makes the new Thunderbird so accessible, powerful and easy to handle is the perfectly balanced flex offered by its Trueblend Woodcore. It was already developed in the Blizzard All-Mountain collection for winter 2020 and has now been further developed for the demands of piste skiing. Two different types of wood (beech and poplar) are combined into a single wood core. The different density stringers are carefully positioned by quantity and length to create three different density ranges to precisely control flex. The Trueblend Piste Woodcore has a harder flex zone in the middle for stability and edge grip, a medium flex zone in front and behind the binding for control, and a softer flex zone in the tip and tail for easy turn initiation and rebound
Trueblend technology allows precise control of flex throughout the length of the ski and at any size
Active Carbon Armor: Active Carbon Armor is a vibration dampening and rebound control system located under the binding. Inspired by the Carbon Armor from the Firebird collection, the carbon fibre plate has been moved to the outside of the ski body, allowing it to flex freely. Active Carbon Armor provides vibration dampening as well as improved rebound and acceleration without compromising the progressive flex of the ski.
In this way, the ski is less demanding and still offers a very high level of performance
Double Titanal: Titanal dampens the ski but also makes it lively and gives incredible performance as well as more grip when the slope is harder....
