The new WRC - A real longturn ski for all skiers who would like to carve long turns on the piste with maximum performance!
Racing means performance without any compromises. The new Firebird Racing skis are designed for the top of the piste skiing community: Former racers, ski instructors, coaches, absolutely passionate high-performance skiers whose goal is always the perfect turn at the highest possible speed - developed in Mittersill from a collaboration between Blizzard engineers and racers like Daniela Ceccarelli or Kristian Ghedina.
With the new centrepiece of the Firebird series, the TRUEBLEND RACE wood core an absolute piece of dream equipment, which we from the Sport65 team were able to test extensively before presenting it on our "Wall of Fame" in the Sport65 shop.
The Firebird HRC is a true multi-turn machine - lightning-fast turns with maximum power - ideal for long days on the slopes criss-crossing the Alps.
The Sport65 guests and ski instructors were thrilled from the first day of testing: Here you have a ski under your feet that answers the question "SL or GS?" - take the best of both and: Off you go!
The new HRC impresses with incredibly high-quality workmanship and a new waist that makes the ski much livelier and more playful.
In addition to the Trueblend RACE woodcore (see below), the Firebird also offers you all the other top features that Blizzard includes here - such as Duramax 3 Titanal technology: the construction tested by Blizzard athletes contains three layers of Titanal, developed and positioned to form a unit with the Trueblend Race Woodcore and achieve three different hardness and flex ranges along the entire length of the ski. The result is a soft and precise turn initiation, excellent grip and hold underfoot and acceleration after the turn.
The aluminium ski end and the new Race Plate Pro for the Marker X-Cell Race binding complete the setup of a perfect on-piste ski!
About Blizzard Trueblend RACE Woodcore...
The Trueblend Race Woodcore is a highly complex and exclusive construction developed at the Blizzard factory in Mittersill in the Austrian Alps. Combining craftsmanship and technology, this part allows layers of different types of wood to be bonded together and achieve precise control of flex over the entire length of the ski in a way that cannot be matched.
In the Trueblend Race Woodcore, thin layers of ash - a hard, reactive wood species with high rebound that works well with the mechanical properties of Titanal - and poplar, which delivers compelling performance, are glued together lengthwise.
The result is: maximum racing performance together with maximum stability and control when skiing and turning at high speeds. But also forgiving and relaxed skiing, precisely because of this complex wood core, which is already used in the all-mountain series with Brahma and Black Pearl, as well as the high-performance piste skis of the Thunderbird line!
The different density stringers are carefully positioned according to quantity and length to create three different density ranges and thus precisely control the flex. The Trueblend Race Woodcore has a harder flex zone in the middle for stability and edge grip, a medium flex zone in front of and behind the binding for control, and a softer flex zone in the tip and tail for easy turn initiation and rebound Trueblend technology allows precise control of flex throughout the length of the ski and at any size. The FIREBIRD collection is equipped with the new Race Plate Pro plate. This new plate offers a perfect balance of stiffness, flex, performance and allows for even more direct power transfer than its predecessor versions as it is directly connected to each other, offering a complete free flexing unit.
Thanks to their glide and Power Metal Bridge, these boards allow for easier turn initiation and provide greater turning precision. - Duramax 3 Ti Construction: An athlete-tested solution designed to work with the Trueblend Race wood core: 3 stiffness ranges corresponding to the different flex ranges of the Trueblend Race. A "soft" and precise turn initiation, amazing grip and support underfoot and finally enhanced acceleration during turns.
