The Firebird COMPETITION JR is the ideal ski for young, up-and-coming skiers who want to chase the best times.
The FIREBIRD COMPETITION JR combines the best technologies from the World Cup - Sandwich Compound Sidewall for torsional stiffness and constant edge grip - with a youth-oriented geometry and robust construction.
In addition, the flex is progressive and adjusted in length.
The multi-radius ski brings versatility to the race track. The FIREBIRD COMPETITION JR has a continuous wood core with a single titanal layer.
High performance technology combined with partial Sandwich Compound Sidewall technology give the Firebird just the right amount of preload and edge grip that is perfect for junior racers.
The Firebird COMPETITION JR is the perfect entry-level option for all young U8 to U14 athletes who are motivated to develop their elementary skiing skills in racing or who have simply outgrown "normal" kids and youth skis, or simply: ski too well for that!

- Rocker type: Full Camber
- Construction: Poplar-beech solid wood core with partial sidewall and single titanal layer
This construction comes from racing - due to the partial sidewall the ski is still relatively easy to turn, but lies on the edge even with light kids: Perfect! - Rocker type: FULL CAMBER, the full camber ski profile ensures perfect pressure distribution from tip to tail and maximum edge grip throughout the turn arc - in addition, similar to the adult versions of the Firebird, the ski has a multi-turn radius, which allows the turn to be pulled in easily and with power, as with a slalom ski, but offers the performance of a racing slalom ski on the edge
- Lenght recommendation: Body height in cm x 0.85 = approximate correct ski length in cm. As a DSLV professional ski school, we are happy to advise!
Set including Marker FDT Junior 4.5 binding system and assembling!
4.5 bindings recommended up to a weight of 28-30kg.
For children from 25 kg we recommend the 7.0 bindings to get more safety in the adjustement.
Marker's new 7.0 Junior bindings offer high-level features like the 4-linkage Jr toe and Compact Jr 2 heel to the very youngest of skiers, allowing them to easily step in and out of the binding on their own. Apart from that the binding provides great riding safety and always enough pressure on the edge.
This binding can be used with all skiboots with Alpine (ISO 5355) or GripWalk soles.
