Blizzard ANOMALY 88 24/25
ANOMALY - no ordinary ski - this new series is a milestone in ski construction!
Yes, that's what many manufacturers say about a new model - but here: It's true!
The Sport65 team was involved in the process of this completely new development almost from the start and can therefore say:
Yes - the ANOMALY are no ordinary skis!
"The wider the freeride" applies to many all-mountain skis - but here it's the other way around: "the narrower the carving" you could say.
Thanks to the completely new approach to ski construction - with a very special wood core and a new way of processing how to dampen a ski with Titanal - the most flexible ski series on the market has been created here.
The ANOMALY skis are inheriting a great heritage: Because they are taking over from the Brahma and Bonafide, the two most successful skis on the North American market. And they do it with a big bang!
We at Sport65 were also sceptical at first, as the Brahma is one of our absolute favorite skis - but one thing was clear to us after the first test runs:
The ANOMALY takes us one step further in the direction of all-condition skis.
Versatility is the keyword for the ANOMALY 88, a ski that impresses with excellent edge grip and the necessary stability to make sporty turns on hard slopes in the morning.
And when the piste is shredded in the afternoon and the snow is softer, the balanced flex and the rocker, which Blizzard has shortened at the tip and tail, still guarantee fun and control.
If Mrs. Holle has brought a lot of snow: The ANOMALY 88 also makes a whole day of freeriding super easy.
In short: You can't change the conditions on your ski day - but you can change the equipment on your feet - and here you have the maximum to have fun!
The Secret... NO ORDINARY SKI
At the very heart of the new ANOMALY and BLACK PEARL line is the Truebland all-mountain wood core - already familiar from the Brahma, Rustler, Firebird and Thunderbird models - a patented piece of genius from Blizzard engineers!
Thanks to the TrueBlend WoodCore technology, the flex can be precisely controlled over the entire length of the ski so that the desired behavior remains the same for all ski lengths - a technology that is patented and that no other manufacturer uses.
The TrueBlend All Mountain WoodCore technology consists of a blend of two different woods. The high-density wood stringers are built into the WoodCore of the ski. By changing their length and number, the flex can be controlled in a 4th dimension.
A harder flex in the middle, where you need more power, and a softer flex in the tip and tail for more forgiveness and easy power delivery.
The wider the model, the better the ski works: perfect in the backcountry or powder - and the narrower: all the more direct and dynamic on the piste.
It's hard to describe - you have to ride the ski and you'll be convinced. Want to bet?
FLUXFORM Shape: The FluxForm is designed to harmonize perfectly with the Trueblend wood core.
It is the second groundbreaking innovation that has been adopted for the ANOMALY and Black Pearl from the Rustler series.
The FluxForm is designed to be perfectly combined with the Trueblend Wood Core. The thin titanal layer, which reduces the torsional stiffness of the tip and tail areas of the skis while adding stability and control underfoot, now features a tapered front frame for easy floatation and a constant width tail frame for grip.
Like the core construction, the FluxForm is sized specifically for each model.
Tapered at the tips for perfect turn initiation and exit, as well as ultra performing and stable under the binding.
Progressive Rocker: The smooth rocker that characterizes the Rustler skis is now also built into the ANOMALY in a similar way.
However, with a little more and firmer camber under the binding, which makes the ski a real full-throttle machine on the piste too.The smooth transition from camber to rocker, which runs from the center of the ski to the tip and tail, combines lively responsiveness with early float in a homogeneous way - but allows the ski to ride sensationally on the edge when things get harder. In short: more playful than the legendary Brahma and yet improved stability at all speeds and in all snow conditions.
The most perfect ski Blizzard has ever built.
You see: The legendary Brahma and Bonafide have had children - children who will soon surpass them - try it out and see for yourself:
No ordinary ski - this is ANOMALY!

A PERFECTLY BALANCED FLEX WHERE YOU NEED IT
A completely redesigned all-mountain Trueblend Woodcore concentrates dense beech wood underfoot and softer poplar wood in the tips and tails for a smooth, balanced flex.
Thanks to TrueBlend WoodCore technology, the flex can be precisely controlled over the entire length of the ski so that the desired behavior remains the same at all ski lengths - a technology that is patented and no other manufacturer uses.

It's hard to describe - you have to ride the ski and you'll be convinced. You bet? - FLUXFORM Shape: The FluxForm is designed to work perfectly with the Trueblend Wood Core. Designed to reduce torsional stiffness in the tip and tail areas of the ski while adding stability and control underfoot, the thin titanal layer now features a tapered front frame for easy floatation and a constant width tail frame for support.
Like the core construction, the FluxForm is sized specifically for each model. Tapered at the tips for perfect turn initiation and turn exit and super stable under the binding for edge grip like a pure piste ski. - DURAMAX Technology: The three individual Titanal pieces are shaped and placed so that the ski is dampening and stable underfoot, but torsionally soft and playful in the tip and tail.
The outer Titanal extends to the edge of the ski and absorbs all impacts that occur along the top edge, reducing scratches and eliminating chipping.
The Story
Blizzard ANOMALY 88 24/25
Blizzard, Tecnica and Nordica at the Sport65 "Headquarter of Fun"...
When companies in winter sports exist for over 75 years, it is something special!
So special, of course, that they should not be missing from the Sport65 range.
What can you say about these legendary brands? Every skier knows the three labels, almost every ski enthusiast has certainly had a Nordica or Tecnica boot or a Blizzard ski under or on their feet at some point in their life.
And for some years now: These brands are experiencing a comeback that is unparalleled!
Blizzard is currently number 1 on the North American market.
Holger has been working as a representative and team rider for Blizzard and Tecnica for years. He has been involved in the "realignment" of the brands from the very beginning.
Tecnica and Nordica ski boots are hard to beat in terms of fit, quality and performance - especially in the freeride sector with boots with high flex and pin inserts.
Why do you think almost all guides and ski instructors at Sport65 and freerideschule.de like Tecnica or Nordica soles?
The Blizzard and Nordica skis from Mittersill are fantastic in all different areas of use, from race to high performance on-piste to freeride and freetouring - logically they are in great numbers on our famous "Wall of Fame" in the Sport65 shop.
Top products are made exclusively from top materials, which makes these products a little more expensive, but durable and of insane quality.
Pure riding fun is guaranteed.
Of course, you will also find many Nordica and Blizzard skis as well as Tecnica boots in the Sport65 rental & test centre, just come to our shop in Weinheim...
This product is "made in Europe"!
Always a main focus in the Sport65 range!
The Blizzard and Nordica skis are developed, tested and produced in their own factory in Mittersill, almost directly at the lift - as a close partner, we at Sport65 are often involved from the very beginning.
Tecnica and Nordica boots are developed in Giavera, at the foot of the Dolomites, by real skiers - and are also produced there.
All liners: hand-sewn in Italy - quality you can feel!
