As any real backcountry skier would tell you, sometimes to travel safely in the backcountry you need to make some compromises.
They would also tell you that that should never include your gear, and your boots are no exception. For too long, backcountry skiers have had to choose between boots that are lightweight and boots perform well.

The construction of the shell and cuff support comfortable walking. Added to this are the flatter profiles of the sole in the area of the toes and heel. This not only makes walking easier, but also allows you to easily attach crampons in difficult ascent passages

Double blocking Mobility Cuff Hike/Ski mode
A new self-adjusting Mobility Cuff System offers a Double blocking system that increases performance, stability and safety.
Offers 55º touring range of motion for a natural and effortless movement - Solepads: Full rubber VIBRAM soles, rockered
Thanks to the partnership with Vibram, Tecnica skiboots feature Vibram soles characterized by a dual-density rubber compound. Yellow harder rubber in those areas closed to the binding, in order to provide with a higher power transmission while skiing. The black areas identify a softer compound that allows an increased grip of the sole for more security when the boot is in walk mode. - Shell: C.A.S. Shell made of Grilamid, Co-Injected Cuff with Carbonfibre
Grilamid shell offers lightweight for the up without sacrificing performance on the down.
C.A.S. shells are anatomically shaped and correspond to the shape of the foot. Therefore, the fit is already very good at the time of purchase. The structure on the shell reduces the surface tension and favours the heating process to facilitate the individual adjustment of the shell.
The shell retains the new shape for longer.
The PU shell offers light weight for the ascent without sacrificing performance on the descent.
This bootfitting work is no problem for us at Sport65 Boot LAB and is applied so that your boot fits you perfectly! - Liner: Tecnica C.A.S Lightfit, with laces, thermo formable
C.A.S. - the magic formula for a perfect fit - as important for touring boots as the snow under the ski!
The new inner boot is completely customisable and can be additionally processed by our boot fitters!
Of course, you will get this adjustment done professionally at our Sport65 Boot LAB - because this is the only way you will feel the 100% performance of the boot! - Forward lean adjustment: Ability to change the forward lean from 12,5° to 13,5°
This small difference has a huge effect! One degree changes the boot from a "touring boot" to a "freeride boot"... try it out! - Aquastop Water Protection: thanks to a new sealing system, the boot is absolutely impervious to snow that gets under the overlap at the front
- 45mm Light Strap with Power Lock closure for a secure hold and maximum performance
The strap is the weight-reduced version of Tecnica's piste models: when open (when walking) it does not interfere.
Closed (on the descent) it brings pure power and maximum performance like no other touring boot on the market! - 4 Light Magnesium buckles (Reverse front) with Hike-Lock function
The upper buckles can be easily locked into place while walking, giving you more freedom of movement when open and still: a secure hold! - Quick instep: An extended area of soft plastic is attached above the instep, making the shell easier to open and simplifying entry and exit from the shoe
- Low Tech Pin Inserts, fits all pin or alpine bindings.

RECYCLE YOUR BOOTS - The Tecnica Group with Tecnica & Nordica recycles your old ski boots!
Tecnica Group is contributing to a greener, better future with its new "Recycle Your Boots" project.
Since even small contributions have an impact, we at Sport65 are of course taking part in this project.
Plastic waste is one of the biggest problems / challenges of our time.
However, plastic per se is not a bad material. Since Tecnica's and Nordica´s ski boots are mainly made of plastic, the company wants to take action and do its part to improve the situation and give a second life to a ski boot that really can't be used anymore!
And not just recycle the plastic - the entire boot is dismantled, the aluminium parts are recycled and after shredding, filling material is obtained from the inner shoes.
The recycled plastic is used to make parts of the new ski boots and other plastic objects.
How does it work?
- You buy a new ski boot at Sport65.
- You hand in your "old" ski boot to us for recycling (Exception touring shoes with fixed Vibram sole!)
- We at Sport65 collect the old ski boots until they are worth transporting
- The old boots are collected from us by FERCAM
- The company LaPrima Plastics disassembles the ski boots into their individual parts.
- The recovered secondary raw materials are reprocessed
- The University of Padua supervises the whole process
Tecnica's "Recycle Your Boots" project was accepted and financially supported by the LIFE programme, a support programme for environmental, nature and climate protection.
