The Radical series from Dynafit: downhill-oriented touring boots with a lot of comfort!

The Radical Boot with the revolutionary Hoji Lock System combines the two opposing worlds of freedom of movement on the ascent and stiffness on the descent. And it can be changed quickly, stably and easily with just one lever. Outstanding!
With a 103.5 mm forefoot width, this is an ideal touring boot for wider feet, because especially when going uphill for a longer time, the toes should have room in the front and not be squeezed in from the left and right - otherwise it hurts...
Thanks to the good heel retraction of the instep buckle and a tight heel fit, the Radical offers secure heel hold on ascents and descents and thus protects against blisters.
With the aforementioned Dynafit Hoji Lock System, the new Radical ski touring boot combines a whopping 60° of freedom of movement with uncompromising comfort and performance on the descent.
In Walk mode, the shaft and shell are separated from each other to allow efficient ascents with 60 degrees of shaft rotation with free, resistance-free mobility.
"One move to switch": Once at the top, the RADICAL becomes a stable downhill ski with the best power transmission in just one move thanks to the patented Hoji Lock system. In ski mode, the boot is locked in a position of 11 degrees of forward lean. The buckles and the Ultra Lock Strap are connected to the Ski-Walk mechanism via a cable system. When the lever is turned, the system is put under tension. The shaft and shell form an inseparable and form-fitting unit, which makes this revolutionary Ski-Walk system completely free of play.

The low weight and the flexible tongue construction made of two different high-tech plastics ensure an energy-saving and natural walking movement even in steep terrain.
At approx. 1400 grams, the boot is light enough to take under the boards for long tours or complete touring weeks with maximum fun.

Important: The Dynafit boots come with a new, high-quality custom-made thermoformable liner, which we should fit for you in our Sport65 Boot LAB in a special oven - without this thermal fitting, this boot will fit you in the shop or when you buy it online at home, but it will certainly cause you a lot of pain when touring or skiing, because the material should definitely be thermally fitted in order to achieve its full cushioning!
This adjustment is of course included in the purchase price when buying from Sport65 - and we certainly recommend an individual foot bedding, because this makes the foot much less tired and the shoe only then offers you its full performance.

HOJI LOCK SYSTEM: The closure system, which is operated with just one hand movement on the heel of the shoe, sets the internal system in motion. Two wedges, on the left and right of the heel, slide together like tongue and groove and form a unit between the upper and the shell. The Hoji Lock System makes the boot as flexible as a classic touring ski boot on the ascent, but as stiff as a thoroughbred alpine ski boot on the descent.
The play between the shaft and shell in the downhill position, which often occurs with ski touring boots, is thus a thing of the past.
Ultra Lock Strap: The innovation for switching to dynamic downhill mode is called "Ultra Lock Strap" and consists of a technically sophisticated cable system that operates the entire shaft. The quick and easy switch between uphill and downhill is made with a single kick thanks to the patent-pending Hoji Lock system.
The Ski-Walk mechanism is connected to the buckles and the Ultra Lock Strap via a technically sophisticated cable system.
