Meanwhile a legend - the KingPin from Marker - the "gamechanger" in the ski world!
With its introduction, the innovative Kingpin redefined the performance standard for Alpine Touring bindings.
Still is: The benchmark for downhill-oriented performance pin bindings.
The alpine heel ensures excellent power transmission and ski control and reduces the probability of false release to a minimum.
Release functionality and downhill performance are still at the highest level.
Since its introduction in 2014/15, it has been developed further and further, and still is: It has its absolute right to exist among the many PIN bindings that you will find here at Sport65.
The state-of-the-art touring binding from Marker with a Z-value of up to 12.
The Kingpin 12 M-Werks weighs only 620g with brake and offers the full performance known from the regular Kingpin series thanks to features such as XXL Power Transmitter or ergonomically shaped ascent support. Pin toe and heel have been specially reinforced with carbon, as has the heel glide plate. The newly designed ski/walk switch lever enables easy handling in addition to the weight reduction.

Max out the Possibilities
The heel piece is built to allow highly direct and efficient power transfer, which translates into better downhill ski control. New and lighter XXL Power Transmitters, which eliminate friction between boot and binding ensure proper release. These are set on the extreme lateral edges of the boot. In combination with the drill pattern set to 38mm of width, these features support excellent power transfer to the ski on the descent.
The heel piece climbing aids that can be set to 0°, 7° or 13° make any climb easier while the pole basket is used to switch settings quickly and conveniently. The switchover from walking to skiing mode is also a simple flip of a new ergonomic lever. To accommodate any compatible ski boot the Kingpin M-Werks can be adjusted by up to 28 millimeters (+/- 14mm).

Alpinist meets Kingpin
Lighter weights and ergonomic motion – the benefits of the PinTech binding system shine through on the climb. The KingPin M-Werks toe piece features a 30% share of long-fiber carbon, which allows for a design that is simultaneously lighter and stiffer than comparable gear. As a result, it requires only two springs. The visual mounting aids that let the skier quickly identify the correct position of the pins relative to the boot.
Another essential innovation is the use of a new material mix in the heel. Here, too, power transfer, rigidity and weight are all improved thanks to a lightweight plastic that features 30% long-fiber carbon. “Anti ice pads” made of dynamic elastomer prevent the sensitive areas below the springs of the toe piece and on the brakes from freezing in extreme cold temperatures. This mechanism also shakes off ice when the toe piece is opened or closed.

Note: Binding prices in conjunction with skisets count only in combination with the ski and are including mounting and pre-adjustment.
Skisets with bindings are only pre-assembled and not adjusted according IAS rules.
The correct adjustment must be checked in a shop with your original skiboots.
If you will grap your skiset in our shop in Weinheim and bring your boots with you, we will do that for free...

M-Werks Heel – Maximum power transmission and direct energy transfer

M-Werks Toe Piece – Six springs for greater safety & performance

KINGPIN Climbing Aids – Simple to operate
KINGPIN offers three climbing positions (0°, 7°, and 13° at a sole length of 310 mm), thanks to two
integrated climbing aids These helpful tools are easy to fold in and out using the tip of a ski pole. They
are positioned in the center of the heel piece for easy access.

KINGPIN Brake – Two brakes for any width
The KINGPIN is available with two different brakes, one for skis 75-100 mm in width and one for skis 100-125 mm in width). The brake system contains advanced safety features, including a system designed to lock the brake automatically when switched to walk mode, and to unlock it immediately when switched back to ski mode. When the heel of the boot steps in, the brakes also fold inward, eliminating the classic problem of the brake arm protruding far beyond the ski. The brake can also be easily changed.
Brakes for waist up 100mm included.
125mm brakes are available on an extra charge of only 19.- Euro (instead of 39.-!).
Please order them in the Configurator...

Crampons – Bracket on the toe pieces
For extra challenging climbing situations involving ice or crusty snow, crampons can be conveniently mounted on the toe pieces of the KINGPIN. Crampons are available in 90, 105, and 120mm.
Important: Dynafit Crampons fit as well!
