With its introduction, the innovative Kingpin redefined the performance standard for Alpine Touring bindings.
Still: The benchmark for downhill-oriented performance pin bindings.
The alpine heel ensures excellent power transmission and ski control and reduces the probability of false release to a minimum.
Release functionality and downhill performance are still at the highest level.
Since its introduction in 2014/15, it has been developed further and further, and still is: It has its absolute raison d'être among the many PIN bindings that you will find here at Sport65, of course.

For the 2022/2023 season, Marker Bindings presents the new ISI toe piece as the successor to the tried and tested two-spring toe piece.
ISI stands for "Intuitive Step In" and describes the main advantage of the new front clamp:
In the new model, the distance between the parts to the closing point of the pins has been shortened. This way, the pins snap in much easier.
The new version of the Kingpin is also almost 10% lighter than the previous versions - this is due to the new front head, a carbon fibre reinforced material for improved stiffness and ultra-light weight.

For us at Sport65, however, it is and remains: the freeride/freetouring binding with the best downhill performance (like a real alpine binding) and with a weight that also allows for long ski tours without any problems.

"We (Marcel and Holger) were the very first dealers and freeride organisers in Chile to strap the binding under our feet in August 2014 - we were immediately completely thrilled! It is well known that a pin binding works perfectly on the ascent - but the fact that this binding offers incredible performance on the descent (even on hard piste!) was completely new to us! With a harder ski boot with a pin mount, the binding can be used just like any alpine binding! This is due to the heel automat, which presses on the boot from above, similar to the Duke, and whose receptacle is much wider than with conventional bindings.
The handling is super easy and very fast - you don't have to twist any parts, bend them up.... but simply push the rear jaw backwards with a very smooth lever (you don't even have to get out of the binding!), step down once (then the brake folds up and is blocked) and you are already in walking mode. 2 additional climbing aids (very easy to operate with a pole) help on steep slopes.
We are sure that this binding will revolutionise the market in a similar way to the Duke! And we were able to extensively test the fact that it already works."
