The self-adhesive pads are simply attached to the outside of the tongue of the liner from your skiboot (possibly easy to cut to size).
Tongue Spoilers are useful additions in getting ski boot fitted properly. Positioned on the outside of the inner boot tongue they remove excess volume from the lower area without altering the natural forward lean of the boot, as well as increasing shock absorption and avoiding the shin bang syndrome.
Through this volume reduction, or cushioning, shin pressure points or too much volume in the upper (due to calves that are too narrow in relation to the shoe size) can be corrected quickly and easily. More control and better power transmission can be achieved through this.
