The self-adhesive pads are simply attached to the outside of the tongue of the inner shoe (possibly easy to cut to size).
Through this volume reduction, or cushioning, shin pressure points or too much volume in the upper (due to calves that are too narrow in relation to the shoe size) can be corrected quickly and easily. More control and better power transmission can be achieved through this.
