About Oakley...
Probably no other eyewear brand has had such a lasting impact on the sports market as the OAKLEY label, founded by Jim Jennard in 1975.
It was in 1980 when Jim launched a pair of bicycle motocross goggles called "O Frame". With the classic Oakley logo on the straps, viewers could now recognize the Oakley brand.
In 1984, Oakley introduced the "Factory Pilot," sunglasses with the same lens shape as the "O Frame" combined with regular temples.
And from then on, the Oakley logo went all the way in sports!
The biggest and best athletes in the world wear the eyewear in their competitions.
But there's a reason for that: the technology at Oakley is still the leading one on the market today!
With over 600 patents and the unique PRIZM lens - which is specially tuned for each sport that you want to do with the glasses, Oakley is the benchmark in the sports optics field - often (and now also well!) copied, but (almost) unreached!
