*About PrimaLoft and other Insulations...
PrimaLoft or similar makes are very light, soft microfibres with excellent heat retention.
Basically, the same applies to all variants: The advantages of such fibres are similar to those of down products: excellent insulation is achieved with a very low weight and extremely small pack size of the products.
The advantage over down is that this synthetic fibre still insulates very well when wet. Once wet, the products dry very quickly.
This "artificial down" is very durable and has a high recovery power; in other words, the jacket, which is packed up small for transport, is back in its original, slightly puffed state in no time and insulates perfectly. Ideal for use with the onion layer principle!
