The Patagonia R2® TechFace Hoody is the perfect layer for cold weather. It combines cold protection and breathability with the advantage of being abrasion and weather resistant, making it even more versatile in changeable alpine conditions.
Not only visually a highlight hoody - also in terms of warmth and climate technology: the special structure ensures high heat retention and ideal breathability.
A fluffy double fabric that is soft and warm against the skin but doesn't trap heat, combined with the hard-wearing outer with a PFC-free DWR impregnation (permanently water-repellent without perfluorinated chemicals) to repel moisture is brilliant for long days on the mountains - whether skiing or hiking/climbing.
The comfortable hood fits under the helmet and has a partially elasticated hem for ease of use and warmth.
Two zippered chest pockets and the high handwarmer pockets are seamed and compatible with backpack and climbing harness.
The hoodie delivers optimum performance because the material is breathable, quick-drying and warms when it needs to.
To prevent unnecessary odours, it has also been treated with an odour-inhibiting HeiQ Fresh treatment.
The elasticated cuffs can also be slipped over the forearms for a relaxed fit and round off the well thought-out features of the R2 TechFace hoody.
