 Trip description

Freeridecamps Disentis Royale I

Freeridecamps with freerideschule.de...

What is the special thing in our freeridecamps? What could you expect from us?
What are the differences in the levels?
How much do I need to climb, how much descent?
What skis do I need?
Many questions that we try to answer with our guides - sorry, in german language..

Have fun, we see you on snow!

icon_info.gif Your destination...

4x lunch voucher á 15.- SFR included!
The Freerideparadise Disentis and our new hotel Catrina Resort Hotel are popular with our regular customers.
Ingenious downhills between Oberalpstock and Gemsstock in Andermatt welcome a comparatively small crowd of freeriders. The cosy hotel with its friendly staff, the relaxed atmosphere in the whole area, marvellous hillsides and peculiar après-ski make freeriding in Disentis so special.
Disentis, located at the upper rhine valley, is one of the most secret spots of the nothern alps!
A tiny skiresort with unbelievable freeride possibilities!
With short hikes you can reach runs with almost 1800m vertical drop - directly back to the gondola or into the other valleys! We take the train, our hotel shuttle or taxis to reach the best, untracked areas of this huge playground!

icon_info.gif Required skills for the Freeride Technique Camps:

What can I expect, what people join the freerideschule groups, what is the focus on the camp,... what riding skills should I have, what equipment do I need,...
In which level should I sign in? What are the differences between the levels?

What to expect....

  • Improve your style and save energy due to a better technique.
You will have a whole new skiing experience and take the next step of being an off piste skier
  • Size of the group: 5-7 paticipants per ski instructor

  • First steps with the touring bindings and skins are on our agenda as well.
  • Your progress will get documented and analysed by photos & videos - individual feedback given by the guide will guarantee a fast progress.
  • Avalanche safety training is part of the daily routine

What we require...

  • Skiing skills: Skiing fluently on all kind of pistes Alle Pisten flüssig im mittleren bis hohen Temp.

  • Short hikes with skins are common, ranging from 20 minutes up to an hour. Depending on strength and ability of the group and first and foremost the snow conditions. If there is fresh powder next to the lifts, we will not start hiking past it. No worries!
  • The guides will show you how to handle touring bindings and skins as well as hiking techniques ans kick-turns to safe energy during hiking.

 Skiresort

Disentis - Sedrun Freerideparadies

Sorry, we did not translate the skiresorts facts in English language.
But you may rest assured that this resort is a fabulous freeride spot!
At the moment one of the secret spots in the alps...
Endless runs and a bunch full of off-piste possibilties are waiting for all our freeride levels.

Feel free to contact us for further information or visit the website of the resort..
