 Trip description

Freeridecamps Val d´Anniviers Zinal-Grimentz

icon_info.gif Your destination...

Discover this huge playground for our Sport65 freeride clients!
After beeing there the first time we decided very quickly: This place is unique and worth to be a new homebase for our Sport65 freeridecamps.
We found a cosy hotel, only 350m from the Zinal gondola which provides perfect access to this great freeride valley.
High above the Rhône valley, the Val d´Anniviers is one of the most spectacular freeride spots of the entire alps.
Surrounded by the "who is who" of famous 4000m peaks like Dent Blanche, Zinal Rothorn, Obergabelhorn or Matterhorn you will be surprised by this resort.
Zinal and Grimentz normally have very good snow conditions, also in "snow poor" years and are really "undercrowded" by freeriders.
There is no need to hurry in the morning - if you take your skins and walk just a few minutes away from the lifts you will find untracked terrain also days after the last dump!
If you are searching for big aprèsski, nightlife and hyper modern skiresorts: This is not your place to go...
If you are happy with old lifts, a small but cosy hotel, relaxed atmosphere: Then you are right and very welcome to discover this amazing freeride area with us!

 Skiresorts

Zinal

Sorry, we did not translate the skiresorts facts in English.
But you may rest assured that this resort is a fabulous freeride spot!

Feel free to contact us for further information or visit the website of the resort...

Freeride in Zinal/Grimentz:
Geht gigantisch gut!

Freeride in Grimentz:

With our mountain guides into the backcountry, supported by lift assistance - with short ascents with skins. We will be completely off-piste and use the groomed area just to get to the BC.

Rental equipment:

The next points are only needed in case you would like to have rental or test equipment (Skis, boots, etc). This equipment you can get adjusted before departure in our shop or we can bring it with us to the destination.
Attention: Proper adjustment of the bindings is only possible in our Sport65 shop. On the road we can only adjust the bindings manually. The skis are calibrated and the functionality of the bindings is tested. Due to that fact there is no binding adjustment as per IAS norm possible on-site. The use of rental equipment takes place at the user's own risk. Sport65 cannot be held responsible for binding adjustment without automatic testing. The renter can get his bindings adjusted in a sport shop on-site at own cost.
Sport65 equipment is not automatically insured against breakage or theft.
For the booked rental equipment our rental terms are applicable: For cancellation of rental equipment a handling fee of 10.- Euro will be retained. For cancellation from 3 days before departure 80% of the rental fee will be charged. There is no discount possible for rental equipment retured earlier than planned.
