 General Information

Follow the Snow! Best of Tirol III

Special regulation season 2021-22 (Corona #staysafe regulation!)

Should your Sport65 trip booked under our "2 G" regulation (vaccinated or proof of recovery) not be allowed to take place due to restrictions (travel warnings or quarantine obligation of the German Foreign Office, or variant areas of the RKI) by COVID-19, even under "2 G" regulation, the already paid travel price or deposits will be fully refunded by us.
Of course, every payment made by you is also covered by the travel insurance certificate in accordance with §651k BGB (German Civil Code) with tourVers / Hanse Merkur Versicherung, which you will receive directly with your booking.
Unfortunately, concluded insurances are not refundable.

With this regulation: Your bugs are safe!

We are really looking forward to the coming winter with you. But as you know:
We can't do without regulations at the moment, and this is especially true for travel events.
Therefore: In the interest of many of our guests and staff, the 2G rule will apply from November for our trips with bus travel or the Sport65 shuttle.

But of course we don't want to exclude anyone, and we also know that there are good reasons for some people not to be vaccinated, so we still offer the possibility of being a "tested" person on our trips and freeride camps - More information here...

icon_info.gif Your destination...

...lies where? We don't know exactly yet, but one thing is for sure: Tyrol will definitely work again next winter and the areas there are terrific for our travel concept!
A fixed date, flexible ski resorts in Tyrol, where our guides know their way around - that's the motto for our unique Follow the Snow! camps.
To be as flexible as possible, to find the best snow and the best conditions - all this in the highest and most spectacular freeride areas of the Northern Alps, with fast and easy access and the 100% snow guarantee that we always have there thanks to the Tyrolean glaciers with their mega high lifts.
Why not decide quickly in the morning where the ski day is best spent, stress-free, without crowded terrain?
And Tyrol is still for this: The best place to go!

The Follow the Snow! Best of Tirol Camps are organized by us in cooperation with the organizer "FlatSucks" from Tirol - the guides then know exactly where to expect the best conditions.
On site the guides from FlatSucks will be there for you - there will be no Sport65 Safety Guide on site.
Your accommodation will be strategically located so that we can reach the surrounding freeride areas within 15-45 minutes in the morning and have dinner there or at the accommodation in the evening.
In which of the surrounding ski areas we will go skiing on the respective days, the mountain guides then always decide at very short notice and just as spontaneously as possible. According to: The best snow on the track!

About 4-10 days before the start of the trip we will let you know the destination, the address and location of our accommodation, where and when we will meet.
Better? Not possible!

Of course we can't give you a 100% "powder guarantee", but we will do our best and will definitely make the best of the conditions on your booked date, so that we are #righttimerightplace...

And as we have already written: Stay safe made easy by Sport65, the headquarter of fun - because if the RKI puts a spoke in our wheel: We will refund the travel price according to our corona #staysafe rules!

icon_info.gif Information for the Sport65 Follow the Snow! Camps:

Frist and foremost: flexibility!
We will decide where to go in short terms to guarantee the best conditions possible.
Note: We try our best but we can not influence the wheater. At least not yet...Therefore even on a Follow the Snow! Camp we can not give a powder guarantee but as already said we keep doing our best..

Your expectations...

  • Experience new untouched terrain and lost valleys accompanied by a UIAGM mountain guide and Sport65 Safety guide. On the hunt for fresh snow, but always with a maximum in safety!
  • Short hikes with skins are common, ranging from 20 minutes up to two hours. Depending on strength and ability of the group and first and foremost the snow conditions. If there is fresh powder next to the lifts, we will not start hiking past it. No worries!
Hikes are not seen as a "Skitour" in the end they are only means to an end to reach nice runs and get away from the hustle in the ski resort. Thats why we travel to the destination with the most promising conditions :)
  • If needed we will do some rappelling as well to reach couloirs and untouched faces.
  • But: No worries as already mentioned we are not hiking, skinning or climbing for fun...it's all about the descent!
  • More over the mountaing guides teach you how to read a mountain and raise the awareness of alpine hazards and how to handle them.
  • You are flexible and the perfect conditions are more important to you then a luxurious accomondation.
Then you found the right trip- untracked faces, deep powder or perfect firn conditions are what we are looking for!
  • Size of the group :
Only 5-6 participants per mountain guide and safety guide!
    Thats two guides per group!
Important: Please read the trip description, of the safety guide is mentioned there!

But: If you are a a very skilled Splitboarder with experience in Hiking with skins or if you are a mixed group we can organize a camp for you!

 Skiresorts

Arlbergregion (St.Anton, Lech, Zürs, Stuben, Sonnenkopf,...)

Sorry, we did not translate the skiresorts facts in English.
But you may rest assured that this resort is a fabulous freeride spot!

Feel free to contact us for further information or visit the website of the resort...

One of the most spectacular and snow-assured freeride valleys in the Alps is waiting...

Statistically the most snow-assured areas in Austria!
Skiing, après, sports and party - there is probably no other area in Europe where you can put all this under your famous hat.
Here we have the ultimate home advantage: almost all of our mountain guides come from this region and know their way around perfectly!

Right at the entrance to the Ötztal valley there are 2 small areas that are considered perfect freeride (and secret!) spots - Hochötz/Ochsengarten and the Kühtai offer endless possibilities with their lifts, all the way down to the valleys to be discovered.
Ingenious, because here only families ride through the area and we find space without end!
You can reach very good and long runs with little ascent, and the terrain is not very rugged in these typical "family areas" - good for us...

In the middle of the valley lies the world-famous Sölden, snow-assured by no less than 2 glaciers, modern lifts, cosy huts and always good snow - here you will find all this in large quantities.
Sölden is the first ski resort in Austria to offer 3 accessible 3000-metre peaks (also known as BIG 3) with ultra-modern lifts - here you will find undreamt-of freeride possibilities with downhill runs into remote valleys or even over into the Pitztal.
The two Sölden glaciers alone offer a lot, it's a damn high altitude!
The steep gullies of Gaislachkogl) complete the super freeride area of Sölden.
Of course, our guides know almost every stone here and know exactly where it will go best...

Hochgurgl and Obergurgl, located at the very end of the valley, have long been more than just insider tips for the freeride scene - but only if you know the area perfectly - because the high alpine location also holds many dangers but many more possibilities.
Almost nobody rides off-piste there, because the "gurgling" crowd is rather comfortable and very piste-oriented - all the better for us!
Here too, all the lifts are brand new and offer outstanding transport comfort.
With little ascent you can reach unbelievably long runs, all the way down and right into the middle of Obergurgl.
What is also known: Gurgl is perhaps the largest "snow hole" in Austria, because here the clouds often snow out just as fertilely during the north jam as when the clouds stream in from the south.

Data / Facts / Worth knowing...

Total kilometres of pistes: approx. 350 km
Number of lifts / lifts: approx. 70
Guaranteed snow: Glaciers up to 3250m do not even cause snow worries here.
By the way, Gurgl is statistically considered the area with the most snow in Austria...

Freerideregion Silvretta/Paznaun (Ischgl, Samnaun, See, Kappl, Galtür)

Sorry, we did not translate the skiresorts facts into English.
But you may rest assured that this resort is a fabulous freeride spot!

Feel free to contact us for further information or visit the website of the resort...

Was willst du mehr?
Denn was machen Familien?

Freerideregion Innsbruck

Sorry, we did not translate the skiresorts facts in English.
But you may rest assured that this resort is a fabulous freeride spot!

Feel free to contact us for further information or visit the website of the resort...
