Productsdescription
Blizzard Hustle 11 23/24
A new experience off-piste, in the middle of the backcountry is waiting for YOU!
"Freeride skis are often too heavy for long ascents," explains Carlo Sammartini, Product Manager at Blizzard. "While light ski touring skis don't offer the playful behaviour and lift on the descent that freeriders and freeride skiers love. This is where we started with the development of the new Hustle ski family. With an innovative construction, we have managed to reduce the weight without compromising the downhill performance. So now you can get up in the backcountry with less effort and ski down your own line with confidence."
The Hustle 11 is a real fun tool for a wide range of conditions, then if they are also only accessible by ascents.
A ski that is of course clearly taken for the fat days, the big lines - but: that also goes through narrow passages, trees or couloirs incredibly manoeuvrable and a totally relaxed riding...And thanks to its relatively (hee, we're talking about big-mountain skis here!) low weight: you can also run the Hustle 11 out to the highest peaks above the ski area to where the lines are untouched, the slopes get huge and are waiting to be surfed properly....
Holger's new favourite toy, as he has been on the Hustle 11 since the beginning of the 21-22 winter...
About the new Blizzard Hustle freetouring/freeride line...
With the "progressive freeride line", the now legendary Rustler and Sheeva series, Blizzard finally catapulted itself to the top of the freeski labels and with the touring series ZeroG: achieved the same on the touring market!
The new Hustle series with its unisex models Hustle 9, 10 and 11: Offers you exactly the missing link between the two ski worlds of touring and big mountain freeride! Lightweight construction from the ZeroG and Sidecut and lift from the Rustler skis!
Exactly what modern skiers demand from their equipment:
Light, playful skis - with the lightweight wood core of the Zero G series in the new Trueblend Free construction (poplar, beech and paulownia in a patented lamination - already known from Brahma and Thunderbird), stable and super lively (thanks to carbon layer), extremely manoeuvrable thanks to tip-tail rocker with softer torsion to enjoy maximum powder performance.
The Trueblend Free wood core was developed with a softer flex in the tip and tail area to facilitate turn initiation and power transmission and to show off the rocker profile to its best advantage. A medium flex in front and behind the bindings gives more secure control when skiing. Right in the middle under the binding is a harder flex zone to guarantee the perfect edge grip and stability to feel safe in any situation.
This wood core is the key to ultimate skiing happiness: because it brings the ski balanced dynamics and a harmonious feel in any terrain and any type of snow.
The Hustle is rounded off by Blizzard's now world-famous Dynamic Release (D.R.T.) technology.
A special fibreglass-carbon construction that makes the skis less demanding and aggressive, but gives them enormous smoothness despite tip and tail rocker.
Another feature of the Hustle series is that the waist "grows" with the ski - shorter ski, narrower middle, the longer the ski, the wider the middle. This means that the ski adapts to its rider not only through its length, but also through its centre width.
Which makes perfect sense - but for cost reasons it is not usually built that way...
In short: If a ZeroG is too "touring" and the Rustler too heavy, you have a ski for the best days on the mountain.
It all sounds very theoretical here - but we, from the Sport65 team, have already had the skis under our feet in the development phase - whether Hustle 9, 10 or even the 11 - all of them are even fun on the piste (you'd think so, but they are!) - that they work in the backcountry should be obvious anyway...
You don't think so? Then it's easy: try it out - bet you'll love the ski, and pick it up at the "Wall of Fame" in our Sport65 shop?

Blizzard TrueBlend Flipcore Technology
This new construction is based on the patented wood cores of the Brahma/Bonafide/Black Pearl skis and the Trueblend core of the Thunderbirds - only here trimmed to lightweight construction (poplar, beech and paulownia in a patented lamination - stable and super nippy (thanks to carbon layer), extremely agile thanks to tip-tail rocker with softer torsion to enjoy maximum powder performance.
- Carbon layer in the binding area and carbon laminate over the wood core
Blizzard Carbon Flip Core D.R.T. technology
This new technology uses a strategically designed sheet of titanal that is full width under foot and tapers as you reach the tip and the tail. This retains power and stability under foot while allowing the tips and tails to be lighter, softer, and make the entire ski more playful. There's also uni-directional carbon in the tips and tails and an anti-shock layer underneath them to reduce tip deflection in variable snow.
- Optimal pressure distribution on the edges
- Skis are extremely easy to use and manoeuvrable
- Floatation effect
- Stability at high speed
- Natural flex
- Great grip and stability
The Story
Blizzard Hustle 11 23/24
Blizzard, Tecnica and Nordica at the Sport65 "Headquarter of Fun"...
When companies in winter sports exist for over 75 years, it is something special!
So special, of course, that they should not be missing from the Sport65 range.
What can you say about these legendary brands? Every skier knows the three labels, almost every ski enthusiast has certainly had a Nordica or Tecnica boot or a Blizzard ski under or on their feet at some point in their life.
And for some years now: These brands are experiencing a comeback that is unparalleled!
Blizzard is currently number 1 on the North American market.
Holger has been working as a representative and team rider for Blizzard and Tecnica for years. He has been involved in the "realignment" of the brands from the very beginning.
Tecnica and Nordica ski boots are hard to beat in terms of fit, quality and performance - especially in the freeride sector with boots with high flex and pin inserts.
Why do you think almost all guides and ski instructors at Sport65 and freerideschule.de like Tecnica or Nordica soles?
The Blizzard and Nordica skis from Mittersill are fantastic in all different areas of use, from race to high performance on-piste to freeride and freetouring - logically they are in great numbers on our famous "Wall of Fame" in the Sport65 shop.
Top products are made exclusively from top materials, which makes these products a little more expensive, but durable and of insane quality.
Pure riding fun is guaranteed.
Of course, you will also find many Nordica and Blizzard skis as well as Tecnica boots in the Sport65 rental & test centre, just come to our shop in Weinheim...
This product is "made in Europe"!
Always a main focus in the Sport65 range!
The Blizzard and Nordica skis are developed, tested and produced in their own factory in Mittersill, almost directly at the lift - as a close partner, we at Sport65 are often involved from the very beginning.
Tecnica and Nordica boots are developed in Giavera, at the foot of the Dolomites, by real skiers - and are also produced there.
All liners: hand-sewn in Italy - quality you can feel!
