The heel elevation in the heel area can prevent ankle pain and enables many skiers to have a much better heel hold in the ski boot!
The pads are simply placed between the inner boot and the outer boot (on the so-called bootboard) or under the insole in the inner boot - they can also be fixed with double-sided adhesive tape. -

With this volume reduction, ski boots that are too wide (or even too big) can be tuned afterwards to achieve more control and better power transmission.
The easy-to-cut reducer pads are simply placed between the inner boot and outer boot (on the so-called bootboard).
You can get the right size by placing the inner shoe on the reducers, marking the outline and then cutting it out with scissors. You can also glue the reducers to the bootboard if required - but this is not absolutely necessary. -
